AP Report

with Sarah Laidlaw

Greetings and welcome to the last term of the year. It has been great to see all the students back and so many excited about Sydney Camp this week.

Compass:

Positive entries to Compass for students have already been very impressive.  Currently, we are in the process of opening up the written section of these to families so that they can take part in the celebrations at home as well as at school.

In case you are not sure what these are, Positive entries are written up on Compass when a student or students have gone above and beyond.  Towards the end of the scheduled classes this term, there will be a celebration regarding these entries.

Student voice:

Next Monday an assembly will take place after homegroup.  This assembly will mark the beginning of an exciting process.  Students' voices will be heard, and changes will be enacted, if necessary, based on the feedback we receive.

Progress reports:

This year, I believe that Progress Reports have been a valuable tool for students and staff.  By focusing on effort and behaviour rather than just academic ability, they have helped students achieve success in the classroom.  Through Compass, a survey will be sent out to ask how everyone involved has found them so far.

Uniform:

As we move into the last term of the year and the warmer months students are required to wear a hat when they are outside.  In the sun, they must wear a hat, otherwise they must be in the shade.  They will be reminded by staff on yard duty.

Please remember to check your timetable on Compass to bring your sports uniform for PE/Sport.

We also have a range of good quality 2nd hand uniform at the Front Office that can be picked up by students/parents at no charge.

Thanks,

Laidlaw
