Outdoor Ed Camp

All year 12 OES students attended their first outdoor education camp last week at the Grampians. We camped at Mount Staplyton campground, situated in the Northern Grampians, overlooking the beautiful ranges of Mount Staplyton and Mount Zero.

All students were able to test their camping skills, sleeping in tents and cooking on Trangia’s for the 2 nights and 3 days.

Activities we participated in were rock climbing, abseiling, hiking and visiting the Halls Gap Zoo. Students were also able to engage in the Aboriginal history of the region, visiting the Ngamadjidj Shelter.

Everyone had a fantastic time applying and enhancing their coursework knowledge, building lifelong friendships and developing interpersonal skills.
