Year 11

Recently during their Pastoral Period,  the Year 11 students engaged in a workshop with facilitator, Dale Sidebottom called, 'All Work, No Play'.  Dale is a full time play consultant and the founder of Energetic Education & Jugar Life.

The 'All Work, No Play' workshops recognise the direct correlation between creative, spontaneous play and happiness. Dale’s fun “games” had our students laughing and moving around. It highlighted how play can be a form of mindfulness as each person was “in the moment”, having fun and not worrying about external problems such SACs, tasks etc.

Dale believes there are four key pillars to a happy and fulfilled life, the daily practice of play, exercise, gratitude and giving. Dale’s Workshops are designed to generate fun, laughter and positive human connections for all involved. He encouraged the practice of PAL, in which we let someone we know that we are  Proud of them and/or that we Admire something about them and/or that we Love them because of….

Our Year 11 students completed a gratitude card at the end of the session. Popular choices for recipients were family members, especially their mums!
