Foundation–Celebrating Learning

Foundation Mainstream

Foundation students have been continuing to work on their writing. They have been brave learners by attempting to write unknown words using the letter sounds they have learnt.

Foundation students visited the pool for their first school swimming lessons. They showed deadly respect and safety and had heaps of fun!

Foundation Steiner

In the second half of this term Foundation Steiner continued to learn to read and write the letters of the alphabet. They also have been having a go at writing words that start with or contain the letter or sound of the day, as well as writing consonant-vowel-consonant words.

In numeracy they continued learning the teen numbers, focusing on the place value and the different ways that numbers can be made. They were mathematical investigators using materials to arrange numbers in different ways and documented their calculations by drawing what they found!

They also practised their storytelling skills often building their own stories in creative play and creating number stories for the teen numbers.

So Deadly!
