Photos - District Swim Carnival

Dear Families and Friends,

It's been another busy week at St Brigid's.  We have participated in the District Swimming Carnival and today our Wellbeing Reps and Sustainability leaders joined in 'Clean Up Australia Day'.

Family Fun Afternoon & Picnic - Friday 12 March - 1:00pm to 5:00pm

With the easing of restrictions our Family Fun Afternoon & Picnic will be able to go ahead. I am very excited to be able to have our parents onsite so we can catch up with each other and have a chat. The afternoon is going to be full of fun for the children. We have Kaboom coming to do some team building activities with our children and we have giant Jenga, Connect 4 and other giant games. We will have a sausage sizzle, popcorn and a drink and after Kaboom we will have an ice-cream.  Students finish school at normal time - 3.15pm. If children have a parent present at the picnic they are welcome to stay on after school until their family leaves.  Any families not attending should collect their children as normal. We encourage families to come along, stay and enjoy the afternoon.

We are looking forward to seeing as many parents there as we can.

We will have some restrictions in place which will include:

  • All adults must wear a mask at all times, other than when you are eating or drinking;
  • any chidlren over 12  who are not St Brigid's students must wear a mask.
  • There will be marked spots for each family group to sit to make sure we are appropriately distanced; and
  • we will have sanitiser around the venue for you to use.

Toddlers are most welcome to come and join in the fun. Please note this is an alcohol free event.

Restrictions

We are very pleased that there have been an easing of some restrictions, however there are still rules by which we must abide.  Parents, you must carry masks with you at all times and if you cannot socially distance onsite you must wear your mask. Due to the density quota still in place parents cannot go into the classrooms and we cannot have parents at assemblies (but we will continue to record them). Parent helpers are more than welcome but you must come into the office and check in using our QR code.

We appreciate your understanding in regards to COVID restrictrictions and it looks like they will continue for the rest of the year now that our state of emergency has been extended to December.

Easter Egg Raffle

It's that time of the year again where we run our favourite Fundraising activity - the Easter Egg Raffle.  Our Foundation Families will be running the raffle this year and raffle tickets will be sent home on Tuesday.  We ask that all children donate an Easter Egg, Easter Gift, Empty Baskets etc as prizes for our Easter Egg Raffle.  We would apprieciate if all Easter donations could be brought to school by Monday 29th of March.  Our raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 31st March (last day of Term for the children).

We have now opened our Enrolments for 2022. If you know of anyone who is interested in coming to our welcoming, community minded school please let them know to call the office or come in and see Tracey to book a tour and/or pick up an enrolment pack.

Existing families with children starting Foundation next year, are invited to come and collect your enrolment pack from the office.

And now for my proud Grandma moment - here are two pictures of my beautiful new baby Grand Daughter Jade.
