Starting Well

As we commence Term 3 we remain committed to developing young men and women of character who are equipped to contribute to the world. At Calrossy we have a saying sweat the small things and the big things take care of themselves.  With this in mind we wanted to take the opportunity to remind our students of daily routines and expectations to set them up for success.

  1. Uniform: All students should be wearing their full winter uniform, including blazers, to school.
  2. Neat and Tidy Haircuts as outlined in the school diary.
  3. YONDR Pouches: Fostering Focused Learning To create a distraction-free learning environment, we continue to utilise the use of YONDR pouches.
  4. Staying informed: Our HUB Year Level pages are invaluable resources for staying informed about upcoming events, announcements, and important dates specific to your child's grade. We encourage all students to check these pages regularly. By doing so, students can remain up to date with relevant information and maximize their involvement in various exciting events planned throughout the Term.

NAIDOC Week at Calrossy is an important time for us as a school to celebrate our First Nations people and consider the ways in which we can continue to build a stronger community through Reconciliation.

Our Whole School Celebration will be held in the WCC hall at 9:00am on Friday 21st July. All students will be in attendance, families are invited. It will go for approximately 40 minutes.

Other activities during the week are:

  • Boarder activities in the afternoons and evening on Monday and Tuesday at the boarding houses
  • For Years 7 – 9: Mentor activities, Chapel, Assembly and Year Group Workshops during Period 2-4 on Thursday
  • For Years 10 – 12: Mentor activities, Chapel, Assembly and Cultural Showcase during lunch on Wednesday.

We trust that these activities will be a wonderful way of demonstrating inclusion across our School community.
