Maths is fun!

Grade 1 and Grade 2's have been learning all about fractions! We have been doing lots of fun activities to learn about fractions of a whole and fractions of a collection. Here are some photos of one of our activities...

Students had to find different ways to build 'one whole' using 1/2, 1/3, 1/6 blocks. Then they had to make the fractions shown using the blocks, such as 2/6 and 3/6. Some students worked on their own and some worked in partners. It was great to see students enjoying hands on activities and working together!
