Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program

The grade 3s have had another terrific fortnight in the garden and kitchen.

 

In the garden, they continue to participate in the wheelbarrow license test. This week we had Haven, Andy, Karis, Matilda and Zayden. Well done to you all for your fabulous wheelbarrowing!

 

We harvested and used cauliflower, silverbeat and bok choy in our soup. Although there was not enough carrots to use in our cooking, the students each got to try one if they chose to.

In the kitchen, we made minestrone soup, chocolate balls, pumpkin drop biscuits and Egyptian sun bread. The students are still practising using their knives safely and trying out new foods.
