All year 10s have been involved in their Senior Education and Training (SET) Planning over the past fortnight. This has seen them reflect on their academic achievement to date, tour of local universities, discussion of career pathways and information sessions on QCAA and QTAC. Throughout it all, students have been supported by a wonderful SET Planning team of knowledgeable, experienced teachers in Senior Education.
The majority of our year 10 students have now completed their initial subject selections for year 11. There may still be some deliberations, however, final submission of selections is due by 3pm, Monday 21 August. Students must Generate Selection Report, and email to themselves for their own record.
These initial subject selections will inform the timetable line structure for 2024. Students will then have an opportunity to review their selections, based on subjects being offered in each line. It is important to note that subjects with little demand cannot be offered, so students may be called upon to choose another option. Also, in some rare circumstances, students may find that their preferences are offered on the same line, and may need to consider other subject options.
It is envisioned that all year 10s will know their year 11 subjects by the beginning of term 4 this year. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your SET Planning teacher, or Mrs Rebecca Ambrose (career counsellor).
