Year 7 & 8

Year 7 Boys Soccer

Last term, the year 7 boys participated in inter-school Soccer. Whilst we didn’t get the results we wanted, the boys had a lot of fun seeing their friends from other schools and giving their all out on the field!

Class Happenings

This week our Year 7s participated in solving the crime "Who Kidnapped the Principal". Our newly minted detectives used their inferential question skills to collate information, gather evidence, and deduce who the most likely suspect was.

The new semester brings with it a new rotation of technology subjects. The new STEAM classes have had a great start. They have explored the elements of STEAM and completed challenges that highlight some of the skills that will be developed in STEAM during the semester. These skills include teamwork, collaboration, creativity, design and engineering.

Year 8 Electives

The new year 8 semester brings a change in electives. VCD and ICT, Drama and Food Tech.

If your child has completed VCD and ICT in semester 1 they will be able to enjoy Drama and Food Tech. And vice versa, if they completed Drama and Food Tech in Semester 1.

Year 8 into 9 course Counselling

We have our year 8 course counselling coming up on the 8 August where the student will be able to put in their preferences for the electives in the new year 9 program, keep an eye out for the electives running in 2024 to support your child in placing their suitable preferences for their skill sets
