Chess Tip for Beginners

One of the basic skills in chess is to checkmate with a rook. In the diagrammed position, White (with the move) should be able to checkmate the black king in less than 15 moves. Try this out with a friend, family member or a chess computer to master this important skill. The solution will be given later in the newsletter.
