Principal’s Report
Welcome back to term 3, we are almost at the halfway mark! Time is flying by!

We have had a very busy and smooth start to the term. Already we have had lots of events such as swimming, Milo’s surprise birthday, 100 days brighter, parent teacher interviews, the launch of the lunch clubs, production rehearsals, senior sports to name a few.

Uniform
Thank you to all families for ensuring that your children attend school in full uniform and helping them learn the importance of wearing the correct school uniform. A school uniform removes the sense of competition in dress, which can often cause stress among students. It also creates a sense of pride and connection to the school. Please refer to the administration page of this newsletter for more information about uniform. If you require any assistance in accessing uniform, please see the office. A gentle reminder that we sell second hand uniforms at the front office, prices range from $2 - $7.

Emergency contact
It is important that your emergency contact is up to date. Unfortunately, we have had a few instances whereby families were unreachable, and the emergency contacts were also not up to date. If you change, details such as phone, email, address at any point please let us know.
Personal accident insurance or ambulance cover
This is a reminder that schools do not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students. Parents and carers of students, who do not have student accident cover insurance/ ambulance cover, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance.
Lunch Clubs
KVPS lunch clubs have been a huge success. We are getting up to of 25 plus kids attend each club at each session. Both student and parents have shared lots of positive feedback.

Glimpse into Grade 2

Check out our grade 2 students engaging in literacy and maths activities. Hands on learning and the use of manipulatives is a teaching strategy that is used by many of our teachers. Our students find this very engaging.

THANK YOU

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Prep teachers, Mr Turner, Ms Butler and Ms Birthisel. They have gone above and beyond to make this year an engaging and stimulating learning environment for our students.

I would also like to thank Logan and Gabi Kimble’s parents for donating a brand-new set of lego. It is such a wonderful gesture and I am confident our students will have an amazing time playing with it all.
