Y10 Goldstein Youth Forum

On Monday 21 August, three of our Year 10 students had the opportunity to attend a Youth Forum in the Legislative Assembly Chamber of the Parliament of Victoria, hosted by Zoe Daniel. They stepped up to voice the most crucial concerns facing young people in Goldstein. Working with other students, they brainstormed and presented ideas as a micro party. 

Student Reflection

On Monday we made the trip into Victorian Parliament and it was amazing to be able to sit inside the Legislative Assembly Chamber. It was fascinating to be able to learn about the inner workings of parliament and participate in various government practices such as voting and addressing the other 'political parties' present. Overall, it was an incredible opportunity to represent our generation in an attempt to raise awareness for particular issues that we all face, and to brainstorm possible solutions that could be implemented.
