Book Fair & Week  

BOOK FAIR:

To kick start our Book Week celebrations, we will be holding a Scholastic Book Fair in our library on the 21st of August. The fair will be open to Monday the 21st at 3.00PM and will close on Friday the 25th at 9.00am. This will be a great way to ease into our Book Week celebrations and to promote the joy of reading; perhaps also, inspiring some creative costumes for our Book Week Parade.

Family Donations: Items may be purchased for yourself or as a donation to the school. All purchases generate scholastic rewards which our school can use to purchase books!

REMINDER: All purchases must be made via EFTPOS.

BOOK WEEK:

To celebrate Book Week this year, students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character on Friday, August 25th. We are sending this post home early, as often it can take some time to prepare for these special occasions. This years Book Week theme is 'Read, Grow, Inspire'.

Clarification of the theme:  Focussing on how literature has the capacity to develop a child's inner world and how it can plant the seed of inspiration for them to express their own creativity.

Our Book Week Parade will be held in Central Plaza (weather permitting) at the start of the day on Friday, August 25th.

Students will be participating in a variety of Book Week activities during the week and will share these with parents at a school wide open morning before the parade.
