Welcome Back
Kirsten Brooks, PFA President
It's been lovely to see everyone at our Welcome Morning Teas and Information Evenings.
We held our first CSR general meeting this week, and the team are now organised and ready to invite us to a year full of occasions.
I'd also like to thank you for your messages of congratulations this week regarding my award of the Caulfield Local Hero Certificate. It is indeed a privilege to receive recognition on behalf of our Community. I thank you for your generosity and friendship. And of course, none of this is possible without YOU.
I hope everyone is settling in well. Questions and emails always welcome. Let us know how you are going at ck.ten@hotmail.com.
CSRs
Thank you to the team of volunteers offering to put on events and activities throughout the year for our cohorts. They will be having their first official meeting on 26 February and we look forward to presenting them with their kit.
If you would like to join the CSR team, please sign up here.
Secondhand Uniform Shop
The SHUS team has been very busy sorting out uniforms for the next sale date on 29 February in Dalton Hall. If you need any extra pieces of uniform, please come between 9.00 - 11.00am.
Big thanks to our wonderful volunteers on the SHUS team.
Welcoming Our Staff Back
To start the year off with an expression of happiness and appreciation, we invite you to bake for the Staff Welcome Back Morning Tea.
Please deliver a plate/container/packet of goodies to any Reception on the morning of 26 February.
Named containers will be left at Main Reception (Junior School) to be collected in the afternoon. Please mark if the food contains nuts, is gluten free, vegan, etc.
You are welcome to add a generic note of appreciation and we will decorate the table with your baking and lovely words.
Mentors
As KGS has a focus on mentors this year, we also offer parents an opportunity to support students with mentoring in several Senior School subjects throughout the year.
You can sign up here to indicate your interest and you will receive an outline and invitation as planning commences.
Mothers' Day Gift Stall
The gifts are ordered and the date is set for 5 May, 8.30am - 12.00pm!
We are looking for a Coordinator of the Volunteer Team for the morning. This will include setting up the Stall after School, or morning of, collecting the float from Finance, and welcoming the volunteers and students as they arrive to shop with their teachers.
Enquiries to ck.ten@hotmail.com.
