Year 7/ 8 Girls Netball Report

Year 7/ 8 Girls Netball Report

On Thursday the 25th of May the year 7 and 8 girls travelled to Bendigo to participate in the Sandhurst Division Netball. This included a Year 8 team as well as two Year Seven teams. All teams were coached by Year 12 volunteers who were fantastic on the day. Also a big thanks to Rachelle McLean, Bri Pedretti and Bridie Semmens for umpiring on the day.

The year eight girls had a good day with a couple of close games. In the first game we player Weeroona and won 21-4. Unfortunately that was our only win for the day. The next Game we played BSE and went down in a very tight game losing by two goals. The remaining four games were also close, fast and tough. Overall we had a great day. We thanks Jess Humphrey and Sam O’Brien for coaching us.

It was one of our best matches we played and we won 8-4. Our very last game was against Marist, but unfortunately we lost 3-10. Everyone had a really good time and enjoyed playing against the other schools.

Intermediate Girls Netball Report

On Friday the 12th May the Girls Intermediate Netball team ventured to the netball courts at Golden City Bendigo.

We played four games in two different pools, coming second in the first pool losing to Catholic College by four goals and winning against Crusoe. Then moving into the second pool winning against Girton and East Loddon.

Great sportsmanship was displayed as East Loddon were short due to injury so some of our girls played an extra game for East Loddon so they had enough for their final game.

Overall it was a fantastic day and all the girls played very well, finishing the day in fourth position out of the nine schools involved.
