WRITER IN RESIDENCE

Local author Ellie Marney spent three days in our school recently as part of our Writer in Residence program. During that time she worked with classes from year 7 to year 12, running creative writing workshops and talking about her experiences as a published author.

Ellie also ran a writing masterclass, working with some of our passionate young writers on a story for competition entry.

Comments by participants were overwhelmingly positive, and reflect the hard work put in by Ellie, and by our creative students.

[Some of the positive comments on the writing masterclass: “It was super inspiring”, “Her down to earth attitude was good”, “The notes on how to edit effectively and insight into writing compelling pieces with our own unique ‘writing voice’ were a plus”]
