Polding Summer Trials
Last Friday saw many of our talented cricket and tennis players compete at the Polding Trials in Lismore. Elizabeth Boydell and Gilbert Tighe represented the Armidale Diocese at the tennis trials and competed extremely well against tough competition from all around the state. Unfortunately, they were unable to gain selection in the Polding Team. Isabel Schweitzer and Anna Lamey trialled for the Polding girls cricket team. Anna impressed selectors gaining selection in the Polding team. Fred Finlayson, Tom Barnes and Angus Manchee all displayed some exceptional skills. Fred and Tom were rewarded with a fantastic day of cricket, gaining selection in the Polding Cricket Team. This is a huge achievement for our students and they will now travel to Wollongong in October to compete at the NSW CPS Cricket Competition. Well done to all our students who participated on the day and we wish all of our extremely talented cricketers all the best when they compete in October.
