Arts Getting off to a flying start!

Year 9 Woodwork students having done their safety module, then reading and interpreting diagrams and are underway into their productions.

 

Working safely in Woodwork

Before students start using any equipment in Woodwork we induct them into the best safe practices. Wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) like safety glasses, ear muffs and (for those with long hair) hair nets when appropriate, is essential.

Music

Year 9 Music students are starting off the year on a positive note. Rehearsals are underway to prepare for their live performances in class, assemblies and whole-school events.

Visual communication

The year 7 visual communication students have started the year with an assignment on infographic design. They explore different ways of creating colours, texts and forms using water colour and drawing techniques.

Year 12 Studio Arts students have made a very good start developing ideas for their final artworks through a design process in their workbooks. During Semester 1 they will be developing and refining their ideas and experimenting with different media and materials. Their workbooks document all their working ideas and thought processes.
