A new year of challenges, fun and participation!

The St Albans school assembly saw the start of a brand new year for the College House System.

As House Co-ordinators we are very proud to announce the new student leaders in each house for 2018.

Congratulations to:

We are very excited to work together and make this another exciting year for our College, beginning with the Swimming Carnival on Friday 2nd March and the Athletics Carnival on Friday 4th May. We will continue to announce other exciting events throughout the year to build student connectedness and team spirit.

Students from Year 7 to 9 will be bussed to the St Albans pool to compete in a variety of activities to represent their House. Led by their student house leaders and in their house colours, they will cheer, compete and participate in what is always a very enjoyable day. There will be a number of swimming and non-swimming events for all students to participate in regardless of their swimming abilities. Students are encouraged to wear their house shirts with some fun embellishments and decorations (e.g. face paint, coloured hair, ribbons, etc) and extra house points will be awarded for best dressed students and the very competitive poolside chanting competitions. Last year Irwin House won with an amazing tally of 1300 points. Participate and make sure your House wins in 2018!

This year will also see the continuation of fun filled events like Youth Day, LOTE and Education Week, language and maths competitions, multicultural days, tug of war, MAC production, fundraising days, debating and our ‘teachers versus students’ bocce competition. This year as always, participation is the key, so join in and take part in the multitude of activities on offer. Teachers will also award house points to students that demonstrated the College Values.

Already 2018 has started with a bang! Our first 250 points have already been won by Buttrose in the year 7 Assembly chanting competition.

Participate and earn points for your House! Who will win the Crocker Cup this year?
