Election Market - May 18th

Thank you to the families that have already signed up to help at our Election Market on Saturday 18th May. This is a huge community fundraiser and we appreciate any help you can offer.

We will be running a sausage sizzle and egg & bacon BBQ, cake stall, plant and gift stall and have face painting, craft and glitter tattoos for the children. There is still plenty of opportunities to help and the roster will be open right up until Thurs 16th (so you have time to sort out your weekend sport activities). If you can't help on the day, we also need people to bake cakes, biscuits and slices and yummy food for our cake stall. 

Mother’s Day

A huge thank you to Sooney and Frances for all their hard work in organising a fantastic Mother’s Day event for us all.

The breakfast was delicious and very enjoyable. A special thank you to our chefs Kris and Elvin for cooking us approximately 700 pancakes, fresh on the day. And I’m sure you will agree that the gifts your children brought home this year were a lovely mix of ‘made with love’ and ‘sparkle’.

Whilst events like Mother’s Day and Election day take a lot of behind the scenes organising, it takes effort from the whole school community to make it a success. We have had an extraordinary number of families volunteer to help at recent events, which makes running these events much easier to know the load is well spread. It also sets a fabulous example to our children that we can all help, and that all help is valued.

So a big thank you to anyone has helped, or who is about to help this weekend. We greatly appreciate the time and effort you put into making this school a welcoming place.

Trivia Night

Now that the hard work is done for the term, it is time to party at our Roaring 20’s Trivia Night on Friday June 21st.

We have booked the larger Petrie Park Community Hall as we have outgrown our school hall for this event. Please feel free to invite family and friends and work colleagues – there is heaps of room to fit everyone. The Silent Auction is a major fundraising component of this social event. We greatly appreciate any new items you can donate for use in the Silent Auction – kitchen items, garden items, sports equipment, toys, books, wine, chocolate, whatever you can donate. If you run a local business it is a fabulous opportunity to promote your business by donating a service or item (remember the awesome hamper that Wilkinson Plumbing Solutions donated to our Easter Raffle!!). Donations can be left in the box at the office, or contact Suzi on 0419 434 559 for larger or service donations.
