The St. Peter’s College Parent and Friends Committee holds meetings twice per term. Throughout the year these meetings include guest speakers from the College Teaching community.

Guest Speaker – Mrs Joyce Sendeckyj, Head of Library (Cross Campus); MTeach (Hon); Grad Dip Education; BA App Sci; Ass Dip Soc Sci; Cert IV Training
Joyce will share with us a little about herself and her journey in teaching to St. Peter's College. She will also outline her current role at both Cranbourne and Clyde North Campus as Head of Library. Joyce will then introduce and elaborate on the 2020 College initiative 'Book Detective', it's structure, it's aims, what it will bring to our students learning, how it will be implemented and its ongoing benefits in raising Literacy levels in our Year 7's & 8's and for all of our College students moving forward.
Principal's Report
Our Principal attends each of our Parents & Friends Committee meetings, and gives us all an up to date and first hand report of what is happening in our College. By attending these meetings you will be given the opportunity to ask any pertinent questions directly to our Principal.
SUPPORTING COLLEGE INITIATIVES
During 2020 Parents & Friends can be active in supporting students at the College via the following activities:
- Attendance to P&F Committee Meetings where you may be asked for your input into various College Protocols and Policies;
- Bunnings SRC Fundraising Sausage Sizzle in March by volunteering for an hour on a Saturday;
- St. Peter’s Day celebrations Sausage Sizzle Luncheon in June:
- College Bi-Annual Musical Production by volunteering to help out behind the scenes undertaking various roles, including hair and makeup, set construction, costumes, and ticket selling to name a few options;
- Fundraising for our Sister School in Honiara, particularly with the delivery of our Annual Trivia & Silent Auction Evening;
- Participating on P&F Committee sub-committees, including Uniform Sub-committee.
Fundraising
Throughout the year we do a small number of fundraising activities with all funds going to our student led initiatives at the College.
We currently have these Fundraising Activities:
- 2018/19 Entertainment Book
- Memorial Pavers
- Ritchies Community Benefit Card
- Bunnings Sausage Sizzles (Cranbourne and Clyde North stores)
