North Central District Cross Country
On Monday 23rd of May Lillian, Kayla, Travis, Charlotte, Amelia, Kalais, Junior, Tate, Noah, Neve, Oliva and Aliza ventured to St Arnaud for NCD Cross Country.
For once we had nice weather for the event and the sun was even shining. Everyone tried hard and ran across the finish line with a smile on their face. The Wedderburn basketball singlets made a return to the cross-country track making everyone run a bit faster. The support from each other was amazing to see, encouraging each other across the line.
Shout out to Mr P for timing and Joan for sitting on a check point telling us to run faster and to the both of them for taking us.

Calder Sports - Primary
On Friday the 27th of May, our Year 3-6 students attended the Calder Winter Sports. On the day, our students participated in one of their chosen sports; Soccer, AFL 9’s, Minkey, Newcombe and Netball with mixed teams from other schools. It was a big hit amongst our students, with Zeke saying "it was the best day ever". It was fantastic to see everyone participate and smiling throughout the day.
Big thank you to Darcy McCallum for his organisation of the event and to Ms Trembath, Mrs Postle, Mr Lockhart, Ms Higgins, Ms Campbell, Laura, Jo and Melinda for coaching, umpiring and supporting on the day.
Special mention to Junior Whyman for helping on the day by coaching an AFL 9’s team.
Loddon Mallee Regional Cross Country
On Tuesday the 31st May Lillian, Kalais, Amelia, Tate, Junior, Olivia, Aliza and Neve headed to St Arnaud for the Loddon Mallee Regional Cross Country. It was a day of four seasons. Joan had snow out on her check point. Mr P had wet feet. The competitors experienced freezing cold weather and some rain. The sun came out for five minutes then soon realised it was too cold and left.
All kids ran extremely well against several schools ranging from Mildura, Swan Hill, Bendigo, Maryborough and everywhere in between.

U14 Girls
- Amelia came 12th out of 55 and is off to State.

A big congratulations to Olivia and Amelia for making it through to State. It’s a huge achievement.
We would like to thank Mr P and Joan for braving the cold and taking us. We all had fun and came across the line with a smile on our faces.
