Making a Careers Booking

This year I will be using an online process for students and parents to make appointments.  The link to make a Careers (TAPS) appointment can be found on the MDCC Careers website.

This link will take you to my appointment page where you will be able to make a Careers (TAPS) appointment.

 

WHS White Card 

Any student that wishes to complete work experience or work in the construction industry must complete the WHS White Card course.

This course is open to Year 10, 11 and 12 students as well as a few Year 9 students.

When - 5 and 6 March 2020  

Venue - Mater Dei Catholic College

(Students complete the course in one day)

Cost - $130

(Please advise Mr O'Connell you are having trouble with financials)

Numbers are limited to 20 students per day. Places will be allocated on a 'first - in' basis. An excursion notification has been sent out.

 

CSU Presentation 

When: Thursday 13 February

Time: 12.30 (Lesson 4)

Venue: Marian Centre

CSU will be here during Lesson 4 to present to Year 12 students. Topics covered include; early entry, bonus points, accommodation, course offerings, entry pathways, how to apply, university life, selection criteria, etc.

Who should attend: Any student that is thinking about going to university. Parents are also welcome. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What happens if I cannot attend: You can book an appointment with me and I will fill you in on the details.

Note: This presentation occurs at a time when most Year 12 students have a study lesson. Students studying Extension English, Extension Maths and Studies of Catholic Thought may choose to attend in consultation with their teacher. Please let me know if you have any questions.

 

Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering               

This amazing opportunity for any students that are considering a career in Engineering. Students studying Physics/Chem Advanced Maths should seriously consider this. Not only will you find out about awesome careers but you will also improve your chances of scholarships, cadetships and entry into university.

CSU Big Day in Information and Technology Careers Conference

I have organised an excursion for any students that are interested in pursuing a career in Information Technology. 

Year 12 students are able to make their own way to this event as it is on your rostered day off (Year 12 students do not need to complete an excursion form but must notify me that you are attending). 

When: Wednesday 11 March 2020

Time: 09:00am-2:30pm

Where: Joyes Hall at CSU Wagga
