CSW Mass 2022 - Our Hope-Filled Future

On Thursday 26th May, Armidale hosted the 2022 Catholic Schools Week Denery Mass for 2022. Bishop Michael Kennedy celebrated Mass and provided all present with a message of hope and thanksgiving in his homily. He was joined by local Parish Priests, including Fr Roel.  The theme, Our Hope Filled Future which encompasses our vision of a Christ centered authentic Catholic community of care, and it was wonderful to share in the celebration with 7 secondary and primary schools from the northern deanery, as well as members of the Catholic Schools Office of Armidale.

Year 11 students were accompanied by Year Leader Mr Frank Patricks, Youth Ministers Caitlin Honesett, Georgia MacMohan and members of the Leadership team Mrs Clare Healy, Mr Stephen Chapman and Mrs Mellissa Bell to the Cathedral to represent the college. The BEATitudes, led by musician in residence Nick Troon provided beautiful music which really animated the theme and created a joyous and inclusive celebration of the wonderful work that Catholic Schools do for our community.

It was a truly wonderful celebration of who we are as a Catholic school in Armidale and the wider parish.

Congratulations to the following students who represented the college:

Marisa Suluma (Yr 7) - Vocal Solo, Psalm and Gospel Acclamation

Maya Teegee (Yr 9), Jessica MacMohan, Jade Foster (Yr 8) - Choir

Darcy Lawler and Joacim Rice (Yr 7) - Guitar

Keeping in touch with what is happening in the Cathedral Parish is easy through their website and Facebook pages.

With such a difficult year and a half it has been harder for parishioner's to give to the parish through the plates, particularly when the church is closed as it is at present. The Parish account details are available on the Parish bulletin.
