Intra-school Volleyball

We wrapped up our Years 7/8 Volleyball competition earlier in the month with the grand final evening.  We had two full games back-to-back to determine the winning team.  There was a huge amount of enthusiasm, with the B Final winner receiving a large confectionary prize, and the winner of the A final a pizza voucher for the team.

The B Final was won by a Year 7 team in three clean sets, while the A final went down to the last serve.  The tension was palpable; we stopped play and agreed to enact international rules where a team must win by two points.  After a few more rallies, Team Wonderwoman snuck ahead for the win and the pizza voucher.

Well done to all players.  We can’t wait to start Volleyball again next term for Years 9 to 12 grading.
