Futsal

Futsal was the first sport to send teams back out representing the College.  Our four teams competed in the North Brisbane Championships over two days.  It was great to see so many schools back competing.  For our teams. this competition spelled the end of the season - not because of performance but conflicting dates for the remaining competition.  Our teams went very well; we are lucky to have such skilful players at the College.

On day one, our two U14 teams played five games each.  Our U14A team made the grand final and took the win with just minutes to spare.  Our U14B team finished fourth at the end of the day, picking up great experience.

Day 2 was for our U16 and U19 teams.  Both these teams have played together over the years, and that teamwork showed, with the U16s coming home runners-up and the U19s also making the grand final.  The U19 was a close game, with the end result decided via a penalty shootout.  Unfortunately, we lost, but having both our teams make grand finals and finish runners-up was a tremendous result.  Well done to all players and coaches.
