Sport Development Leader
We are on the cusp of Trimester 3 sport commencing. We are very thankful for the efforts from our selectors and coaches in grading our teams. I am happy to say we have not had anyone miss out on a sport, with good numbers all round.
We are also thankful that Queenslanders appear to be holding strong in our battle to keep COVID cases away. There is a lot of discussion between the colleges as to how we must proceed with sport and the measures we must take to ensure we do our part to protect our health. I have included the CaSSSA Sport COVID plan below; it is a well thought out document and has a zero tolerance policy for unwell students. If your daughter is participating in CaSSSA sport, I ask that you read this.
We have had some teams out representing the College in Futsal and Cross Country as well as Rugby 7s. It has been a pleasure to watch everyone back in sport. Our captains have more on this in the following pages.
There is an opportunity we are trialling in Term 4 for our Years 9 and 10 students who perhaps are not interested in competitive sport but like fitness. We hope the students support this and make use of the gym facility that we have on site.
I hope you read on and enjoy the stories of enjoyment and success.

Nerf Battle - Spirit Week
After the Nerf battle held for the Interhouse Games, we were swamped with requests for another round. The Spirit Week provided a perfect opportunity for this as the captains rallied and launched a Super Hero Nerf Battle on the Oval. Well done to all who dressed in theme; a lot of fun was had by all. To be honest, I am not sure how a winner was picked but, judging by the laughing and smiles, I think everyone was a winner.
