Congratulations to all of the boys involved in the First Ensembles Concert held last week in what was a challenging environment. There are lots of things that we will never take for granted post COVID19, including the special magic of playing live music to an appreciative audience. Despite the circumstances, the boys rose to the occasion with all groups performing at a high level. We now look forward to the remainder of the Virtual Concerts Series, which will be recorded from the Draney Theatre – continuing with our Winter Concert on Thursday, August 20.

Battle of the Bands

We are excited to announce that the 2020 Battle of the Bands will still go ahead within the capacity of school, to adhere to current event restrictions. We are planning to run multiple heats during Break time, a winner from each heat will be chosen to compete in a final to conclude the event. The winner will then have the opportunity to perform at assembly as per usual.

Students, please register your band by email to musicstaff@marash.qld.edu.au including members and their instruments by Friday (07/08/2020). Once we have band numbers, we will finalise how many heats there will be and when they will commence. We look forward to the opportunity to continue this annual event and encourage all to get involved!

Year Five Musical

Apologies to Year 5 Students and Parents, in regards to the release of the video of this production. Unfortunately, there have been several things that have been out of our control causing delays. We are hopeful of being able to release the footage in the near future.
