Spotlight on Game Design & Food Studies

Game Design

In Term 2, Year 9 Game Design students worked on their graphical games, designing, developing and testing their games. Students used specialised software with an in-built programming language (GML) to develop their games, with many of them creating their own game assets, such as sprites, tile sets and music. They reflected on the overall game design and development process, realising how much time and effort it takes to build working games. Well done, Year 9s!

Food Studies

Last day of term 2 the Year 11 Food Studies class produced a High Tea to celebrate the end of a memorable term. Students produced dishes including scones with fresh jam, cupcakes, brownies and sandwiches.

Year 9 students for their final KLT task were asked to design their own stir-fry recipe. Students came up with some amazing flavour combinations and textures to create amazing designs. They also used a range of noodles such as Soba, Singapore, Hokkien, Rice and Udon.
