Year 3 Art: Cherry Blossom Paintings

Year 3 students have been learning about the 19th century Pointillist movement, making connections with other artists who have used similar mark making techniques, such as Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, Australian artist Emily Kngwarreye and British artist Damien Hirst. They used Hirst’s recent paintings of blossom trees as inspiration to create their own painting using pointillist techniques.
