Our Interschool Sport

On Monday May 30th the intermediate girls footy team played in a tournament with Pascoe Vale Girls School & the Australian International Academy.

Coburg swept the competition beating PVGS 10.6.66 to 2.2.14 & then AIA 4.14.34 to 2.2.14 to win the Moreland Division Championship. Coburg Alumni & AFLW star Emilia Yassir returned to bring her expertise as a coach for the team. The crowd was treated to a great team effort despite some very soggy conditions, with standout performances from Hana H, Florence N, Poppy O, Laila R, & Stella W & Saskia W.

Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys' soccer team, our new Moreland Division champions!

Our Year 7 Girls' netball team (see banner above) had a great day out this week with several wins and some very close losses. Great effort team!

On June 21st, the Year 8 Girls' netball teams played in the Moreland Division round robin and competed well all day. Our 'white' team won five games and only had one loss for the day, finishing in second place overall - well done! And our 'pink' team had three wins and three losses, finishing in fourth place overall - also a very respectable effort. Thanks to all who represented CHS for your enthusiasm and sportsmanship - it was exemplary!

Girls Make Your Move

Last Thursday Erin took the GMYM class rollerblading/skating. We took the bus to Eltham and skated. We did things such as playing games, learning how to skate/different techniques and requesting music to skate too. This activity got the whole class moving and having fun. Overall, as a class we got closer together and had a very enjoyable experience.
