End of Term 2
A reminder that school finishes at 1:30pm on Friday the 24th of June. JSC has arranged a fundraiser for the last day of term with the theme PYJAMA DAY! Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation, with all proceeds will be going to the State Schools Relief fund.
Welcome Back Jorja
You may have seen a familiar face around the school over the past couple of weeks. Jorja has moved back to Melbourne after spending 6 months working and living in Adelaide. She has recommenced her role as an Education Support staff member at Croydon Hills Primary School for the remainder of the year.
Student Mid- Year Reports
Student Mid-Year Reports will be available via Compass on Friday June 24th. Please take time to read these reports carefully. It is important that each of the students and their families are able to celebrate the achievements that have been made over the last 6 – 12 months. In most cases, the progress made by students will have been significant or steady. However, in some cases, due to disrupted learning over the last two years, some students may have plateaued and not made significant progress.
All teachers are working hard to ensure that all students build momentum in their learning. This is being achieved through the work of classroom and specialist teachers who create and develop programs to support students at their point of need. This work is supplemented by the valuable work of the Learning Enhancement teachers and the Educational Support staff members. In all instances the school is working hard to identify individual learning needs and to provide all of the extra assistance that each student may need.
To support these reports, Parent – Student – Teacher Conferences will be held in Term 3, Week 3. This will provide parents and carers the opportunity to further discuss their child’s Report, as well as give students the opportunity to share their achievements from Semester 1. Bookings will open via Compass early next Term.
Night of the Notables
Congratulations to our Senior School students who put on a wonderful showcase of their learning from this term over the past two nights. The students dressed up as a notable person from history and presented a monologue from their notable person. It was wonderful to see the community engage with the students throughout the evening. Thank you to the senior school teachers for all the support they provided in preparing students for the evening.
