Careers in Agriculture

Anne Gough

Monday July 18, the commencement of Term 3, will see 12 Year 9 students explore their interest in agriculture. These students have expressed a desire to attend the Careers in Agriculture Day being held at RIST. They will be based out at RIST where they will be given a hands-on learning experience in four broad areas. These areas encompass shearing and wool, agri-tech, agronomy and livestock. Students will also gain an insight into the incredible opportunities now available in agriculture and the many pathways to pursue such a career.

Monivae enables students in Years 10 to 12 the opportunity to study Certificate II in Agriculture through SW TAFE as a VET course, or through RIST as a school-based trainee.
