A mammoth effort has taken place by both Staff and Students as we complete another full Term of classes, sport and other school activities. I am certain that the July holidays will be a much-needed break for all.

Although Term 2 was light on with sporting dates, with the Senior and Intermediate boys playing off in the GD Football competition, other Students and Staff have been extremely busy getting teams selected and trained for our very busy start to Term 3.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Staff who have given up lunch breaks and after school commitments to ensure that we have the best team on the court/field. It is always very hard time making selections as we have many very talented sporty students.

I commend the Team of selectors who must make the tough decisions of selecting 5 Netball and 2 Basketball teams, as well as football and volleyball teams. This year we have selected squad rather than teams, due to many students being away with Covid/flu and other reasons. We will be making our final selections in Week 1 of Term 3, due to the ever-changing number of students available.

Wednesday night we held our Clay Target Team Information and Induction night. Thank you to Russell Robinson from Sportscene, who came and spoke to the team about gun safety. Those students who were unable to make the Information and Induction night must complete a Firearm Safety Course (regardless if you have a licence or not). There will be a Firearm Safety Course held at the College on Wednesday 13th July from 2-3pm. Please email me if you need to attend this. Those applying for a licence need to complete this course. Cost - $15 paid on the day.

21 July - NV Netball Championships – Geelong – Yr 11/12
22 July – GD Basketball – Hamilton – Yr 9/10
25 July – Junior Girls Football – Yr 8/9
27 July - NV Netball Championships – Hamilton – Yr 7/8 & Yr 9/10
3 August – GWR Hockey – Dimboola – Yr 11/12
3 August – Senior Girls Football – Hamilton - Yr 11/12
9 August TBC – GD Shoot – Coleraine
25 August – Southwest Zone Shoot – Noorat
