CAPT Byron

On Tuesday 21 June, SGT Wessner from Cadet Headquarters, returned to work with the Senior cadets in their Lesson preparation, Drill movements and commands in preparation for Ceremonial Parade in Term 4. The seniors were able to use this time to extend their leadership skills and knowledge. While this was taking place LT Toffolon took 16 enthusiastic Year 8 students for an information session and workshop for the new Drum Corp.  A visiting officer from the Army Pipes and Drums band was booked to visit along with SGT Wessnar to start in the training of our drummers. Unfortunately he was unable to come at the last minute due to personal reasons, however he is already booking dates to come back in Term 3.

Congratulations to SGT Xavier Cox on his promotion to Drum Major for 2022. SGT Cox will be working closely with the new drummers to ensure that they are ready for the Ceremonial Parade in October.

This Saturday we have 12 cadets and 1 staff heading to Puckapunyal Army base to further their cadet skills in Specialist Courses including – Field Signals, Survival, First Aid and Field Engineering. We wish them all the best as they head to colder weather that will test their skills both physically and personally.

Reminder – There is quite a large amount of gear (sleeping mats (from Biv), tarps etc)  that were left after Cadet camp. This gear is in the basement next to the canteen so if you are missing anything from camp it may be there.

Please ensure that your child has emptied their webbing, including cleaning of their water bottles and cups canteen. These will be returned in Term 3 and this date will be communicated to all cadets early next Term.
