Cooking

In our final cooking tutorial during remote and flexible learning Mrs O’Keefe showed us how to make Chicken and Mango rice paper rolls. This proved to be such a fun, creative and very hands on activity in many kitchens across our Level 3 families as can be seen in the photos below. We take this opportunity to thank Mrs O’Keefe for her wonderful recipes and cooking videos which has allowed our students to continue engaging with our Cooking programme at home.

Science & Sustainability

In Science we continued our investigations into the topic ‘Powering our World’ by looking at Fossil Fuels as one way of providing electricity. We were especially concerned with the impact Fossil Fuels can have on our environment and thought about how to save electricity in our homes. In Sustainability we researched endangered Australian animals and students were given the opportunity to create an awareness video on their chosen animal to share on the Seesaw class blog. We will be researching this topic further when we are back on site.

Garden Harvest & Garden Maintenance

Our Garden program moved back outdoors to coincide with some of the lovely weather we have experienced. We hope your gardens, garden beds and paths look lovely after receiving help from our Flora and Fauna gurus! As can be seen from the photos below, our Gardening program is beginning to have an impact on some of our families’ gardens! Well done to all students who have been chipping in and helping keep their gardens neat, tidy and beautiful! Patty will be very pleased!
