I have been part of the Greensborough College community for over 8 years. My eldest daughter completed Year 12 in 2018 and my second daughter is in Year 11.
Being involved and part of the College has been very rewarding, I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, from all parts of the school community, the staff, parents, grandparents, caregivers, and students.
Why did I choose to be involved in the college? Firstly, the PFA President at the time my daughter started, had known me from toy library committee days and so there was an expectation, secondly it is my natural inclination to help. Mostly importantly though was the immediate feeling that this was a caring school, from the teacher who remembered my daughter’s name after meeting her once briefly at a school tour to the parents who organised the 2nd hand books and uniform sales.
This care has continued through my daughters’ years at Greensborough College as staff have supported them to be the best they can be. As a member of the PFA, and then School Council and now as School Council President I see my role as assisting the staff, students and broader school community to ensure that our students have the best opportunities to reach their full potential
