RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

On the 1st of November every year, many Catholics and other Christians around the world observe All Saints Day. We remember and honour all saints and martyrs, known and unknown throughout Christian history. The following day, November 2nd is All Souls Day, a day for commemoration of all the faithfully departed.

On Friday the 5th November, we will celebrate both days with an All Saints/ All Souls Mass at 10:00am, led by Fr Michael. As we are unable to gather as a school, the children will remain in their respective classrooms and attend the online Mass celebration.

Following the All Saints/ All Souls Mass, the Year 6 students will be organising our traditional Mission Fete Day. Due to restrictions things will operate a little differently than they have in the past. However, our Mission to raise money for the less fortunate remains the same. Our students will be encouraged to bring along some of their pocket money and this will give them access to organised activities on the day.

This year’s focus is on the work of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Thailand. Their Mission is to provide support through the Kindergarten Centre, helping young children and their families from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds.
