Dear Families
I have blinked and the end of the term is nearly upon us. Everything is now underway, and students are in some great routines. It was particularly exciting to see our extension groups commence this week. There has been quite a bit of preparation, as this is a new venture for the school. Thank you to Mrs Kathryn Jaeger and Mrs Andrea Watt for their hard work in this area.
Talking of hard work, staff may need their own morning fitness sessions after recent weeks. Chef Andrea and Assistant Bridget have been cooking up a storm; trialling recipes, cooking with Kinder and whipping up special surprises for winning classes. I can confirm that the lasagne master, is in fact, a lasagne master – I am getting the man a badge! Just a reminder to fill out our school lunches survey.
A big reminder for families to book in a Learning Conference for the end of term. This will be an opportunity to see student work samples and discuss any other important issues. You can make a booking through Compass or just ring the office. We would love to see our students in Grades 3-6 attend the conferences.
We are finalising a new traffic management plan now that most of the car park is open. We will get this out to parents as soon as possible. We hope to shoot a video to explain the new processes. The whole community has been really understanding with all the changes this year.
Keep an eye out on the Mercury in the next week or two. I hear we may get a mention!
Brendan Gill
