Soirée Benvenuto

Congratulations to the following students who performed at Soirée Benevento last Thursday evening:  Simeon Gee (Year 7, piano), Paddy Humby (Year 7, cello), Ariel Reeves  (Year 8, piano and voice), Aroha Cooper (Year 8, voice), Ruby Gale (Year 9, voice), Lizzie Nealon-Cook (Year 8, piano and voice), Sam Gander (Year 11, piano), Will Louis (Year 11, guitar), Orlando Aguirre (Year 11, guitar and voice), Layla Davis (Year 12, flute and voice), Claudia Ivery (Year 12, voice), Maeve Magner (Year 12, violin), Reagan Lloyd (Year 12, voice), Emily Colbran (Year 12, viola).

The Soirée featured a wide variety of repertoire and the standard was impressively high for the beginning of the year. Thank you to our wonderful Music Captains (Maeve Magner and Emily Colbran) who compered the evening, Mrs Cooney for her accompaniment skills and as always our wonderful audience who continually encourage and support these students in their musical endeavours.

Macquarie Towns Symphony Orchestra Concert 

The MTSO will present a concert of well-known classical music on Sunday, 2nd April. The wonderful Mozart Symphony 41 will be a highlight, with the exciting Stravinsky Danse Infernale providing a complete contrast. Add to this some gorgeous Barber, more Mozart and Dvorak favourites and an added surprise of a groovy composition by conductor Edward McNight and it will be a great afternoon of music making.

 

Sunday, 2nd April at 2:00pm, St Andrew’s Uniting Church, 25 West Market St, Richmond. Tickets at the door, includes afternoon tea.
