It has been an exciting term here at Swinburne Senior Secondary College, with plenty of learning opportunities for our students. We hope this newsletter finds you well, and you have had a chance to see the progress your child has made.
We would like to thank all the students who participated in our recent Attitude to School Survey. We were pleased to see that the majority of our students reported feeling positive about their school experience. We received valuable feedback from the survey, and we will continue to work towards improving the areas that require attention.
Throughout the term, our students have been busy engaging in a wide range of learning activities, both in and out of the classroom. Our teachers have been working hard to provide a challenging and supportive learning environment, which has helped our students to thrive.
Our focus on the development of critical thinking skills has been a significant aspect of the learning that has taken place this term. We have also seen students embracing the use of technology in their learning and actively participating in a variety of extracurricular activities.
As the term draws to a close, we would like to remind parents, guardians, and carers that the GAT is scheduled to take place on Thursday 15 June starting at 9:00am and that our school formal is fast approaching as well. The event will be held on the 20 June from 6:30pm till 11:00pm at Merrimu Receptions in Murrumbeena, and we are looking forward to an enjoyable evening of celebration of good clean fun.
Please note that students must adhere to the school behaviour expectations. We encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the importance of making responsible choices and behaving appropriately during the event.
Thank you for your continued support of Swinburne Senior Secondary college.
