Careers News
On Thursday 23rd March, our Personal Development Skills class attended an excursion to the Banyule City Council offices in Greensborough.
Here, students were introduced to the Banyule City Mayor, Mr Peter Castaldo, along with other council employees, including Mahamed Awi a youth worker.
The council employee panel members shared their career journeys and the assortment of employment opportunities for young people within the area of Banyule municipality.
The day was a huge success as students engaged with the speakers by asking questions followed by one on one discussion about their career choice and hearing advice from council employees.
It was an interactive way into the introduction of the world of work to our students and the beginning of many more opportunities over the course of the year.
Thank you to Jackson Moloney and our Personal Development Skills class that took part in the event.
Great work!
