Easter Egg Raffle
Galilee’s Family Favourites
Just a reminder to send in those yummy family favourite recipes in! We’d love to be able to represent as many families as possible and highlight the wonderful community we are! Ms Evants will accept recipes up until this week so that everyone has an opportunity to contribute.
This term we are exploring and celebrating Harmony in our community. One thing that has always brought people together is food. At Galilee we have decided to put together a Family Favourites Cookbook.
We’d love your help in putting together this collection of favourite recipes that our children love to cook and eat at home.
Using the template below, share with us your family’s favourite
recipe, include your family name, the name of the dish, the ingredients and method. Please keep your recipe to one page and work on it as a family. Feel free to add pictures and colour to the template. I have included an example of my family recipe.
Once the recipes have been collected we will publish the cookbook as a pdf file. All families will have access to the school cookbook however we ask that you bring in a gold coin donation on the 29th of March (The date we are celebrating Harmony Day). The money raised will go to stocking our Make a Space Kitchen and purchasing some new texts related to Harmony, Family and Celebrations for our classrooms.
We want to celebrate the diversity of our Galilee families and share our wonderful family traditions with the community.

Mother's Day
Mother’s Day Stall – Monday 8 May
The GPA are excited to be hosting a Mother’s Day Stall on Monday 8 May.
All students will have an opportunity to visit the stall during school hours to purchase a gift for Mother’s Day.
All stall items are between $3.00 - $10.00, please note this event will be a CASH SALES only event.

STEM @ GALILEE
The STEM team would like to say a big thank you to all the families who have offered ideas, resources or their time to the STEM database. Your contributions have been fantastic!
If you're not sure what we are talking about, please read on...
The STEM team is looking for ideas from families who are passionate about STEM to help our children at Galilee spark and foster a love for STEM. We are hoping to create a STEM database of ideas and resources that teachers can tap into anytime to facilitate a more hands-on/real world teaching of STEM across all year levels.
So I hear you say...What is STEM? STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Maths. Very broad huh!? Yes it’s pretty much everything around us, everywhere, in the past, in the future and NOW!
We're looking for ideas, resources or hands-on experiences that you think the children will find fun and engaging while learning about different areas of STEM – anything really - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Engineering, Astronomy and so on. No idea or help is too small! Even if you are not a scientist, engineer, or doctor, but you are passionate about a STEM field you can contribute.
