Curriculum

My how the year has flown! Welcome to Term 4! The teachers are all very excited to return to Term 4. We will start Week 1 with Remote Learning then will return to face to face in Week 2 on Monday 12th October. 

First of all a big thank you to all the Inquiry Centre families, your support to your child and the teachers has been incredible! We wouldn’t have been able to make it through such an unprecedented time without your support and dedication to your child's education and wellbeing! The Term 4 statement of intent was emailed via Sentral at the end of Term 3. We are looking forward to all of the topics we will be covering and excited at the prospect of returning to the classroom. 

Students will still participate in their morning check in on Google Meet at 9:30am and small groups sessions at 12:30 and have the Weekly Choice Board. Don’t forget we only submit this on Friday. In Literacy we are exploring adjectives & adverbs, making inferences about characters feeling and Mr O’Connors amazing alliteration. During Maths we will be looking at the many areas of Place Value, a very important skill to deeply understand. Our topic for Guided Inquiry is ‘Lights & Sounds’, it is a very hands on and exciting topic! 

Remember with all tasks just to do your best and do whatever works for your family! Don’t forget to communicate with your child’s teacher if you have any queries or concerns. 

We are so excited to be starting Term 4 and can’t wait to see what wonderful things we achieve and experience !
