Home Learning

We are nearing the end of Term 3, and as usual it is still all systems go. The students have been working very hard and are producing some excellent work. They are also seeking out teacher assistance and reaching out when in doubt, which is great to see. Please do scroll through the photos of some of the work they have completed.

Assemblies & Chapels

Our Assemblies and Chapels have been running as normal. Our focus this term has been wellbeing and study skills. In the last few weeks we have covered things like goal setting, resilience, routine, time management and perseverance. There has also been a Kahoot quiz every week and the winner will receive a prize. The quiz focuses on all the topics we cover but also reveals information about how some of our teachers manage their time or wellbeing. It is hoped that by sharing this information, students learn that adults deal with these things also and that life lessons are for everyone.

In addition to our Assemblies, I encourage parents to sit down and discuss with their child the Aitken College Approaches to Learning. These are skills that are required over a life time. Working through the approaches, students will begin to see what is required from every individual to achieve their own success. Keeping these approaches in the back of their mind will put them in good stead for their future.

Student Absences

A reminder that if you child is unwell and unable to engage in Zoom lessons or complete work, please contact Dunhelen Administration on 9333 9225 so that teachers are aware of the absence.
