RE Update

Dear Parents and Carers

As we communicated at the end of Term 1, the celebration of all sacraments have been postponed until suitable dates can be arranged when it is safe for us to hold them. With our Churches still closed and large gatherings not allowed this seems to be a long time away.

At this time all Sacramental events; Family Faith Nights and celebrations for First Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation - are awaiting a lifting of the Government restrictions.

We will inform families as to the re-scheduling of all sacramental events, when we are advised by the Government that they can be held and when Fr Raju re-schedules them.

In the meantime, you will have noticed on the Home Learning grids that class programs

for Sacraments will continue to be delivered to ensure students are well prepared to receive them when it is allowed.

Learning about sacraments and our Catholic Tradition is not just a once off experience for our students. We strive to develop their understanding of all 7 sacraments from Prep - Year 6.  Further, our learning doesn't just sit in an Religious Education lesson, it is woven through many learning experiences and areas of the curriculum.

As a school community we take great joy in celebrating these most special times in our students' faith journey. We hope and pray that we will be celebrating them sooner rather than later, but like so many aspects of our lives we are being asked to press pause and pray.

Take care and keep safe,

Jo
