Year 12 Arrangements

The next few weeks will be very important for students doing Unit 3 and 4 studies as they prepare for their exams.

To support students in their studies please make note of the following important information:

  • Thursday 17 and Friday 18 September: students can come to the school during their study periods to collect hard copies of practice exams.

During the school holidays:

  • students will complete their English and EAL SACs, and should also be completing practice papers as outlined by their teachers.
  • students should have developed a study timetable, and be spending time on each subject to prepare for their exams.

Week 1 Term 4 remote learning continues.

  • Wednesday 7th October all students completing a Unit 3 and 4 study will complete the GAT. It will commence at 10am. Further details of the COVID safe plan will be on Compass closer to the day.
  • Monday 12th October Year 11 and 12 students resume onsite learning (pending DET approval). Year 12 students will complete practice exams in class for authentication purposes.
  • Friday 30th October last day of Year 12 classes.
  • Tuesday 10th November Year 12 exams commence with the English exam.

We hope all the Year 12 students have a productive two weeks as they prepare for these important exams.

And finally....

Thank you to all of our parents and family members for your continued support of your children and of the school as we worked our way, together, through another term of online learning. We are very fortunate to work with such a supportive community, and we could not have done this without you.

And, on your behalf, I want to acknowledge teaching and education support staff for their outstanding efforts this term. They have given everything they could to ensure a quality learning experience for each of our students; and to ensure that every possible support was in place for them and for our families. They were adaptable, dedicated and available to support, as needed. They never gave up.

We hope that all of you are able to have a break over the holidays, especially from devices. Let’s hope that Term 4 sees us back together as a school community.
