PARENT NIGHT OUT - Cancelled for 2021

 

It is with sadness that we have had to make the tough decision to cancel the Parent Night Out for 2021. It was going to be an amazing night and we wholeheartedly thank the Prep parent team who have put so much effort into organising the night. To Paige, Melanie, Jessica, Rebekah, Nina, Tammy and John from Year 1. The 80s theme was such a great one will be ready to rock in 2022. 

 

Refunds will be issued to all who purchased tickets.  

 

The good news is - the cash prize pool is going ahead, as well as an auction for the beautiful year level artwork. This will be held in October online on a date TBC.

 

COLOUR RUN - Postponed to November 26

 

Our Colour Run was scheduled for Friday September 10 but due to the ongoing lockdown and restrictions, we have organised for this to be postponed until Friday November 26. This will give us the best possible chance to both fundraise and ensure that we can have a wonderful, joyous experience for our children.

 

The fundraising profiles will remain open online, however we will press pause until promoting fundraising and updating the community until we start term 4. Thank you to those who have fund-raised already, so far out of 180 children, we have had 61 children create a profile with 30 children raising more than $1. We look forward to hopefully being able to finish the year with this awesome day!

 

We have had some questions relating to the focus for our fundraising for this event. Our fundraising efforts will focus on raising money for:

  • New playground equipment (design TBC)
  • The long term goal of upgrading our basketball / netball courts with custom designed sports turf (similar to the ones at Star of the Sea)

BUNNINGS

Unfortunately our BUNNINGS BBQ fell to the same fate as our other events. The day before our BBQ we were plunged into lockdown and our BBQ was cancelled. We were lucky enough to not have to pay for the sausages, onions and bread. Our order of soft drinks, water and sauces is currently being stored safely in the Korber household. We have been told that we will be allocated another date, hopefully this year. We would like to thank the many who volunteered to man the shifts on this day and we hope that we can make it happen this year!

 

PICTURE PRODUCTS

 

The Picture products fundraiser is now live. All the details of how families can make beautiful keepsakes including their kids' drawings (think iconic 80s melamine plates, mugs, calendars etc) are in the form below. Please note these important dates:

1. Orders due / payments must be made by 10th September

 

2. Post drawings back by 20th September

 

3. Products delivered by 6th December

Please note that due to being in lockdown, the paper used to draw the designs will need to be downloaded. Parents will need to download the template relating to their order fromhttps://drawing.pictureproducts.com/ . If you’d like your child to include any photographs on their artworks, be sure to include them in the scan.
