Optiminds champs!

The optiminds challenge had to go digital again this year due to Covid 3 weeks after the long term challenge had started. One Year 8 team persisted and continued with the challenge.

Optiminds is a competition were students are given a long-term challenge for which they get six weeks to come up with a solution to problem given to them and script. They have to perform using their script.   The other part of the competition is the spontaneous task in which the students get six minutes to find creative solution to for example”  what is the hidden use of this screwdriver?”.

The competition is based around “Think Create Communicate”. Students are judged on their thought process, creativity and how well they work together as group.

Team 1 Optical illusionaries' competed in the language Literature Challenge (DIV2) with Year 8 students Abigail Shliahov, Samara Ireland, Lily English, and Grace Endres-Blakeney.

The team is to be congratulated on their resilience to give it a go and on receiving HONOURS in the challenge.
